Still going strong!!!
To say that Joseph is recovering well would be a bit of an understatement. You would never guess that the young man you see on the tennis and raquetball court running around and holding his own just had a DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT just 5 weeks earlier!!! God is so faithfull.

Today is November 7th.... exactly one month since Joseph had his double lung transplant! Wow... so much has happened in just one month's time! It really is unbelievable! God has been SO good to us!!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you ALL again for your continued prayers and support for us!! Without you I know we would not be where we are today! Prayer truly is POWERFUL!!
We love you all!

Bronchoscopy
Joseph went for his bronchoscopy today and the doctor said that everything looked so good that... and I quote.... "you would never know he just had a lung transplant!" Wow... to God be the glory!!
They took a biopsy and will send it off to check for any rejection. However, the doctor doesn't expect to find any.
Thank you again for all of your prayers and support!
We love you!

All is well...Thank You!
Well, Kayse and I went to Emory yesterday (Wednesday, Nov.4) for my 4 week visit and had a series of tests, scans, labs, etc. done. Everything is looking and going GREAT!!!
I go in tomorrow for a bronchoscopy where they will put me to sleep and go in and examine the new lungs and also take a small biopsy to check for any signs of rejection. They did the same thing two weeks ago and there were no signs of any rejection. Join us in prayer believing that the same will be true tomorrow!
Also.. TO ALL OF YOU who are continuing to fundraise and send/deposit funds for Lungs4Joseph...THANK YOU! We are still needing to raise the money for the transplant and the post transplant medications and have almost reached our initial 100k goal! You all have been AMAZING!!! I thank God for all of you and pray that He bless you in abundance for being such a blessing!
I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

Still going strong!!
This morning Joseph went for his second session of pulmonary rehabilitation! Once again, he did amazing!! He worked out for about 45 minutes without getting short of breath at all!! Wow!! It's pretty amazing that it has been less than 4 weeks since his surgery and he is doing so well!!
Later this afternoon, Joseph wanted to exercise some MORE!! WOW!! So, he called Michael over and we all walked about a mile around our neighborhood. Joseph kept talking about how awesome it was that he could do that now... that he could actually walk and not get short of breath! It's something he hasn't experienced in over 20 years!
We are so thankful for this amazing GIFT that has been given to us!! We are constantly reminded of the precious life who gave us these amazing new lungs. That special person is truly our greatest hero! Please continue to pray for their family and friends as I am sure they are still mourning. May God shower down His comfort and peace upon them.
Again... thank you all for your prayers and support. We love you!
